FAQs
Sharelicious ASIA 2026 Eligibility Requirements
To participate in Sharelicious ASIA 2026, restaurants must meet the following requirements:
Licensing & Operations
Restaurants must hold all required operating licenses issued by the City of Toronto, including:
- A valid Toronto Public Health DineSafe Pass (“Green”) Rating
- A valid Municipal Licensing & Standards (ML&S) Eating Establishment Licence (licence number beginning with B71)
Restaurants must provide dine-in service.
Menu & Participation Requirements
- The restaurant’s regular lunch and dinner menu must meet the minimum average three-course pricing requirements for the selected pricing tier.
- Participating set menus must be available during regular lunch and/or dinner service hours.
- Restaurants must support customer reservations where applicable.
Application Review & Approval
- All applications are subject to review and verification.
- Participating menu prices must offer genuine value and be lower than the average price of a comparable three-course meal from the restaurant’s regular menu.
- Participation capacity within each pricing tier is limited.
- Applications offering the most competitive pricing and strongest customer value proposition may be prioritized for approval.
What if it’s difficult to create a traditional set menu with a main dish and side items?
Absolutely. Participating menus do not have to follow the traditional “main dish + side + drink” format. Restaurants are encouraged to design unique experiences that reflect their brand identity and dining style.
Tasting Platter
A curated platter featuring multiple signature items, allowing customers to sample several popular dishes in one experience.
This format works particularly well for:
- Ramen restaurants
- Yakitori and skewer shops
- Fried snack concepts
- Dim sum restaurants
- Southeast Asian eateries
Signature Tray Experience
Instead of serving three separate courses, restaurants can present the meal on a beautifully arranged tray featuring a combination of food and beverages.
This approach creates a more memorable dining experience, enhances presentation, and encourages social sharing and customer engagement.
The goal is to create a menu that feels exclusive to Sharelicious ASIA and offers guests something beyond the restaurant’s regular dining experience.
If I want to offer an all-day menu, how should I differentiate between lunch and dinner?
Restaurants are welcome to offer an all-day menu throughout the campaign. To create distinction between lunch and dinner offerings, consider differentiating based on ingredient quality, portion size, exclusive items, or presentation style.
Lunch Menu
Lunch offerings can focus on value, convenience, and efficiency, catering to customers looking for a satisfying meal during a busy day.
Dinner Menu
Dinner offerings can feature premium ingredients, larger portions, upgraded dishes, or exclusive items that provide a more elevated dining experience.
The goal is to create clear value at both meal periods while giving guests a reason to return and experience different menu options throughout the campaign.
Our profit margins are already very tight. Is it still worth participating if we can’t offer deep discounts?
Yes. Sharelicious ASIA is not simply a discount-driven campaign. The goal is to help restaurants create more attractive dining experiences by packaging existing menu items into compelling promotional offerings.
Restaurants are not required to provide significant discounts. Instead, value can be created through thoughtful menu design and exclusive experiences.
Ways to Increase Perceived Value
- Create exclusive combinations that are not available on your regular à la carte menu.
- Bundle signature dishes, appetizers, and beverages into a curated set menu.
- Include high-value, cost-effective additions such as signature snacks, limited-time drinks, desserts, add-ons, or menu upgrades.
The focus is on creating an offer that feels special and exclusive to the campaign while remaining operationally practical and financially sustainable.
Our objective is to help restaurants generate interest, attract new customers, and create memorable dining experiences—without requiring unsustainable discounting or sacrificing profitability.
What if I have no idea how to create an exclusive menu item?
You don’t need to develop a completely new dish from scratch. In many cases, the easiest approach is to make small adjustments to existing menu items and transform familiar products into campaign-exclusive offerings.
Simple Ideas to Create Exclusive Items
- Add a special sauce, topping, or side dish to an existing signature rice or noodle dish and present it as a limited-time campaign set.
- Combine popular appetizers into a signature tasting platter featuring your restaurant’s best-selling items.
- Enhance existing beverages with exclusive toppings or seasonal ingredients to create a campaign-only drink.
- Bundle existing menu favorites into a unique combination that is not normally available on your regular menu.
The goal is not to reinvent your menu, but to create something that feels fresh, exclusive, and special for Sharelicious ASIA while keeping preparation simple and operational costs under control.
Is participating in Sharelicious ASIA really beneficial for restaurants?
For many small and medium-sized restaurants, running advertising campaigns, producing content, managing social media marketing, and attracting new customers independently can be both time-consuming and expensive.
The value of participating in Sharelicious ASIA lies in joining a city-wide food campaign that brings together restaurants under one collective promotional platform. Through the SharEat App and social media channels, participating merchants can gain greater visibility and reach a broader audience of local food lovers.
Participating Restaurants Receive
- Featured placement on the SharEat App campaign page
- Opportunities for social media promotion
- Inclusion in the official list of participating restaurants
- Exposure for signature dishes, exclusive set menus, and brand stories
- Access to new customers and local food enthusiasts
- Increased brand awareness and campaign-driven buzz
Sharelicious ASIA is more than a promotional campaign—it’s an opportunity for restaurants to be discovered, experienced, shared, and remembered by a wider audience.
